Plarn Tote - Recycling is fun!

Using 60+ recycled plastic shopping bags, I crocheted this funky tote bag. It has a wonderful "feel good" vibe to it.  I love taking it to the shop, the beach, anywhere and get a compliment on my colourful creation every time!

Check www.myrecycledbags.com - stacks of awesome bag patterns! I started the base of my bag following this pattern and customised the rest.

My little blue assistant kept an eye on the project from start to finish :)

    1. Thank you Maryanne! The bag is super handy, strong and funky. There are lots of cool items one can make from plastic yarn - I'm already collecting bags for my next recycling project :)

    1. Thanks Kayleigh! I sorted the plastic bags I had into colour groups and worked random strips. The colours came out nice and bold because I used double strands of plastic yarn - much harder to work with but super strong. The idea is to recycle used bags in stead of buy new ones to get certain colours!
